Occupation: Artist in wood.
Binh Pho is a Vietnamese-American

It is with great sadness that we have heard that Binh Pho has passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Without doubt, Binh was one of the most outstanding wood artists of a generation; his work was both unique, of outstanding artistic integrity, and just plain beautiful.

In 2014 we were lucky enough to have Binh attend our Bunbury workshop. I don't think that anyone who attended our 2014 collaboration would argue that Binh was one of the most inspiring people that we have ever met, both on a personal and artistic level. His talents were boundless, and his work ethic was second to none. He worked tirelessly, up to fourteen hours a day, and seemed to survive on very little sleep - very few of us could match his pace, or his talent.

Without doubt 2014 was our most successful workshop to date, and much of the credit for that was due to the presence of Binh Pho.

Rest in peace dear friend, you will be sadly missed by all of us.
